Meals
Slovak cuisine is based on folk tradition and recipes that have
been used in Slovak homes for centuries. Cabbage, potato, bean,
mushroom or lentil soups are among the most favourite. Traditional
dishes include venison, poultry or fish. Roast goose and pancakes is
a popular autumn dish. The specialities of Slovak cuisine are served
mainly in restaurants called "Koliba" and "Salaš".
